The client thread where the budget was finally agreed. The team thread where someone said the launch date is now the 14th. The supplier email where the delivery window quietly shifted.

You don't need a summary of every one of these right now. You need to be able to ask later — and get an answer that already has the context.

What you do

Add your assistant to CC (or BCC). That's it.

When it's copied — not addressed directly — it reads and remembers without replying. No "got it!" noise. No auto-replies. It just stays in the loop.

Then, weeks later:

To: [email protected]

What budget did we agree on with Acme, and who confirmed it?

And the answer comes back with the number, the name, and the date — because your assistant was there the whole time.

Why it works

CC is how you already keep people in the loop. Your assistant is just the one person on the thread who never forgets. You don't have to file anything, flag anything, or remember to write anything down. You just copy it in — and the memory takes care of itself.
